Autoblog posted these high resolution pictures of the Recaro branded Black Edition seats.

This caught my eye on eBay. A small block Chrysler in a 1989 Toyota Supra body. It would not have been my first choice of an engine swap, but its different. If different is good, then this is good. The wiring, the body kit, and the hood leave a little to be desired. If you were trying for the sleeper look, you missed by a bit. Right now with 5 days remaining, its only bid up to $510.

Engine is from a Toyota Century, radiator is a GT-R and is used as a core support on the front panel, bellhousing is an R34 Skyline, he says the brochure lists the engine as 280bhp, so hes guessing 300bhp but he doesn't know really. It has lots of torque though and uses 2 x 1JZ ECU's to control it. He says something weird which I think means something along the lines of "you cant polish a turd". He says "ゴミとゴミを合わせて" which I think means put "rubbish and crap put together"
In the next video, the car sounds a bit better. They might have eliminated some of the mufflers. It needed something. A V12 should have a nice sound, like an inline 6 - x2. This seems like a pretty tough way to make around 300hp. Interesting. Different.
The startup build video.
Durability and Insurance: One of the biggest concerns we had was how we made sure our case stayed attached to a moving vehicle that experiences close to 2g's of lateral acceleration and speeds upwards of 160mph on the race track. We exhaustively tested a number of suction pod mounts that ultimately left a lot to be desired. We knew we had to include a robust solution that could be flexible and mobile enough to capture a multitude of different angles of video as well as have the suction power to anchor our device. The Cleat made by Wood's was the device that ultimately delivered what we needed. It utilizes an actual pump to suck out air and can hold up to a 10lb camera with ease. The Igloo case with the iphone 4 weighs in at only a third of what the Cleat can handle making it overkill (just the way we like it).
I have a program for my iPhone called Harry’s Lap Timer. I have been looking for a good case, to take advantage of the GPS lap timer, and camera overlay functions.
Harry‘s GPS LapTimer is the iPhone tool for lap timing. Offering advanced data recording, it is the ideal companion for amateur racing. Utilizing GPS, LapTimer will automatically stop your laps and sector times. With laps stored in a database, you can track your progress while improving your lap times corner by corner. Using your existing iPhone, LapTimer is an extremely inexpensive option compared to standalone solutions.

Inside Line took a 2012 Nissan GT-R to the dyno at GMG racing, and it made 430 whp, and 397 lb-ft of torque. Even though the specs for the 2012 Nissan GT-R say it runs 13 psi, and the specs for the 2009-2011 Nissan GT-R say it made 10.8 psi peak, on the dyno the 2012 actually made a little less boost (just under 11 psi) than the 2009(about 12 psi).

Inside Line speculates that the 91 octane fuel may be the root of it. If they can clock 0-60 times in 2.9 seconds, and 1/4 mile times in 11.1@124 mph and only make about 12 psi of boost, we will see some 10 second stock cars in 93 octane land out there.
