Getrag Pull to Push Conversion, ATS Carbon Clutch, and Nismo Input Shaft

Nissan Getrag V160 transmission

Digging though a few old photos I had, from long ago, in a city not so far away. I installed an ATS carbon triple plate clutch in an R34 that we called Bert. I think it was Bert. My memory and old age. Eventually this thing became the Need for Speed car. Was painted gold with some crazy graphics, and was given away by EA.
The R34 Getrag had a smaller input shaft, than the unit used on the Supra. The Nismo shaft was larger, but probably not required for most applications.

The ATS Carbon Clutch, had a larger diameter center hub, along with a push style cover. It required swapping the slave cylinder, fork, and pivot bearing around to work with the now push style clutch, vs the pull style clutch.

The Getrag V160 is a popular swap for the R32, and R33 Nissan Skyline GT-R. It requires a few parts to make it work, but nothing too crazy. I probably have them all listed somewhere on this blog, but otherwise you can find out a little bit about breaking 3rd gear in the 5 speed boxes and the Getrag V160.
