This was the final wastegate wired shut run on the Typhoon. Around 1999 sometime at R & D Dyno. Like all dyno sessions its about 1 am, ears ringing , eyes burning. We couldnt make any more than about 20 psi with the Profec. During one run I reached in and closed the wastegate rod down, and it made more boost. This run , I decided to wire it shut and see what it would do.
Wired shut , it hit 30 psi in 2nd gear and ran out of fuel injector and fuel pump. Notice how much the rubber turbo outlet hose expands and contracts.
