PRP RB26 Cast Block and Head Runs for The First Time! 1100hp at 10K+ rpm!

The Nissan Skyline GT-R engine block has gotten scarce over the last few years. The cars stopped being made new in 2002. Since then there has been fairly good availability on the used market, or even new from Nissan. From the N1 or 24U block, to the RRR GT500 block, down to the run of the mill 05U block.  Billet aluminum blocks have been available for several years, but using them on a street car, that sees all kinds of temperature differentials, and usage aren't always the best. PRP has been working on a better, stronger, cast iron block solution. This video shows the first test, to see hot it will all hold up. 1100 hp and 10k rpm seems like a decent start. 

You've been waiting for it and here it is. The PRP cast block and head have been assembled, run and had the first stage of testing! 

I this video Herman, and a special guest, assemble engine number one. Testing went well, but there is more to come as PRP push the limits of this game changing engine and head.
