Why the R33 GTR is a great buy in 2024!

Everyone is thinking R34’s and I’m thinking R33’s… here’s why.

If you haven’t already gotten an R34 GTR then I’m sorry but the prices have gone up substantially now that they are turning 25. Japanese sellers know they can ask a lot more now, so we all pay a lot more.

The R33 GTR shares a lot of the same quality’s as the R34 and today are less than half the price of an R34 GTR. It won’t be long before a lot of people will be realizing they can’t afford an R34 GTR and start looking for an R33 GTR. Demand for them will increase and with similar production numbers, so will the price. There is still a lot of upside to the R33 GTR as both a great car and investment . So, if you didn’t listen to me, when I said now, it was a great time to buy in R34, now is a great time to buy an R33.

From 1995-1998 there were 16,674 R33 GT-R's produced. About 1/3 the number of R32's. There are three distinct versions of the R33. The Series 1, Series 2, and Series 3. Series 1 are 1995. Series 2 are 1996. Series 3 are 1997-1998.

The R33's RB26 had a few changes from the R32 engine, but overall near the same. It ran a little more boost. You would see about 11-12 psi peak.
