Cars and Coffee: Nissan IDx concepts and Nissan GT-R Shoot

Headed out to Cars and Coffee in Irvine today to check out the Nissan IDx concepts. TheIDx's were making a Southern California tour at several local venues.

Nissan is testing the water, seeing what people think. Make sure you let them know.  https://www.facebook.com/NISMOUSA  The hope is small engine 1.2-1.6 liter, turbo, rear wheel drive, manual transmission.  The two concepts try two different looks, the NISMO, and the Freeflow.

Original Nissan Skyline GT-R front windshield. DOT 23 AS1

The windshield picture is a weird one, I know. Just explaining something. In the "list" of things that people say need to be changed on a car to meet FMVSS, is the windshields. In the 1950's or 1960's this might have been true with imported cars, but all modern Nissan Skyline GT-R's have DOT 23 / AS1 windshields from the factory. The side glass is AS2 glass and also DOT legal.
