R32 GT-R Fuel Tank Leak

We have seen this once ourselves, but heard about it a few times from people.   There are a couple of vent lines on the fuel tank. On this car, it leaked fuel when filling up.  Once the tank was removed, it was pretty obvious what was wrong.  The R32 GT-R uses a plastic tank, the other Skylines use a metal tank.  They can rust, which we have also heard of, but have never seen.

Gas Cap - R32 Nissan Skyline GT-R - 17251-79915

Broken vent line in picture. ID 10 mm or 3/8th's hose will work
OEM fuel filter - OD of lines 8 mm.
Tank top - Supply and return OD 8 mm

Fuel tank filler vent - 15mm or 19/32nd will work.

R32 GT-R fuel tank capacity is listed as 

• 72 liters
• 19 gallons. 
• Most of the time E to full is about 17 gallons. 
•  I never like running cars too low on fuel, as you suck up any trash in the bottom of the tank, and fuel is used to cool and lubricate the fuel pump. 

That would be a problem

OEM tank top. This can occasionally leak. Always replace the top gasket. when pulling the pump

There are several lines on the top of the tank that can perish and leak. When you have it down, make sure you replace all the ones you can see. Do it once, do it right.
