Fuel injectors are a little solenoid that open and close based on a signal at the ECU, to allow fuel into the engine. In the case of an RB26 the OEM - yellow/black 444 cc injectors are low impedance(resistance) and have a resistor box to limit the amount of current the ECU will see. The OEM RB26dett injectors will support about 444 hp at the engine on gasoline. In the olden days, the only injectors we could get to flow the amount of fuel we needed were all low impedance, and no ECU could/would support a low impedance injector. However, those days are past. You can get high impedance injectors to support nearly any horsepower you will throw at a car.
For an RB26 I really don't believe in any step except stock injector to 1000cc+. The 1000cc injectors when setup and tuned correctly will run, idle, and cruise like stock. They will give you a ton of dynamic headroom, and allow you to grow in power. In the case of a solenoid, you need OFF time. Normally that off time is 20%, aka you don't want to go above 80% duty cycle on an injector. Nistune, Power FC, Haltec, Emtron, Link, can all do it. So if you are making 600 hp, you are at 60% duty cycle, and you keep your little solenoids happy as they can be!

Next up, I saw these a while back, and they piqued my interest. These long nose injectors would fit further down into the airstream vs the OEM, or other injectors. Another nice part was the EV1 connectors, so no messing with wiring. However you may have to or want to extend the connector as it sits about an inch lower than OEM. I just removed the OEM plastic wire channel, and put looming over the wiring.

Although based on the documentation for these injectors, that are safe for all kinds of fuel, including E85, they are 1260 cc at 43.5 psi, and 1367 cc at 50 psi. It says they have a narrow cone spray pattern, and spray straight.

Next up, showing a few other types and styles of injector. One is a 2000 cc injector, for those bad boys on E85 wanting to make some POWA. Then some R35 GT-R multi hole injectors.
The really short one is a 2000 cc

Some great information on cutting the plenum to sit the R35 injector further down to prevent the spray pattern from just hitting the walls of the injector cutouts. https://blue-force.sakura.ne.jp/35korekuto.htm
