The R32 GT-R had the battery in the left front, in the R33 and then the R34 the battery was located in the trunk, above the fuel tank bulkhead. It is left rear side, and there is a fuse/relay box that is close by/attached.
Like the R32 battery, the R33 and R34 batteries use a small terminal or JIS terminal. You can find JIS terminal batteries in Japan easily, but in the US it is difficult and a little limiting. So terminal adapters are available, or you can swap terminals. More information on batteries, terminals, and sizes that fit an R32.

An Odyssey PC680. Small battery. They are more for motorsports type applications. They really need to be left on a tender. They don't have a lot of reserve capacity. Once you kill them once, I've never been able to bring them back to life. Still loses about 5 lbs compared to a stock size battery. Plus there are correct terminals available. Prices aren't horrible.
