Twenty five and thirty year old electronics, that are exposed to the harsh environments that automobiles see, do not last forever. The way to fix many problems, is to replace all the old parts with new parts, but that isn't always practical due to cost or availability. In the R32 Nissan Skyline, there are several areas where we see old solder connections cause intermittent failures. Two examples are in the mass air flow meters, and in the power window relay.
