R33 GT-R sells for $235,200 at RM Sotheby's in Monterey

The presale estimates on this 28,000 mile R33 Nissan Skyline GT-R were between $90,000 and $120,000. Which would have put it at the high end of anything R33 GT-R, not a 400R, has sold.  However Monterey has a way of doing weird things to people. Auctions happen, prices happen, and this car sold for $210,000 on the block, or $235,200 including buyer commission

Its not honestly a very realistic price for these cars, and it is just a "normal" Midnight Purple R33 GT-R. While it is in stock condition, it honestly has nothing over the top to support that price.  More realistic would have been the estimates.  So this is not a good indicator of the current market.  Hagerty has a great price guide available on their site.

Most R33 GT-R are selling in the $60k to $80k range at dealerships.   https://www.importavehicle.com/inventory

Now if it were a 400R that price would be low. If it were a LM edition, even then honestly probably on the high end of the market.
