R34 GT-R Key Programming Guide – Transponder and Remote

The R34 GT-R uses a transponder key that is different from earlier R32 and R33 models. If your car still uses the original Nissan Anti Theft System (NATS), it’s important to get the correct key for programming.

• H0564-AA410 (with transponder)
• H0564-AA411 (non-transponder)

If you're running an OEM ECU with NATS, you’ll need the H0564-AA410 key. While transponder key programming is possible in the US, it requires specialized tools. Some Nissan dealers and locksmiths can handle it, or you can use Grid Datascan as we demonstrate below.

The non-transponder keys are cheaper, but won’t start the car if NATS is active. Valet key options also exist for limited access use.

Keyless Entry Remote Fob Programming (R32, R33, R34)

To program a keyless entry remote for your GT-R, follow these steps carefully:

1. Close and lock all doors using the driver's switch.
2. Insert and remove the ignition key 6 times within 10 seconds.
3. Reinsert the key, turn to ACC, then press a button on the remote.
4. Hazard lights will blink if successful.
5. Repeat for any additional remotes.

What You'll Need

• Working key fobs (transmitters)
• New batteries in each fob
• Main car key (to initiate sequence)

Troubleshooting Tips

• Verify batteries are good
• Minimize signal interference (phones, metal, etc.)
• Follow timing exactly — no skipped steps
• Ensure key is inserted and removed cleanly
