The Nissan Stagea WGNC34 Autech 260RS is sort of a hodgepodge of different Nissan parts. One of the areas that its a little different is the rear suspension/coil overs. This is a place you have to be really careful with the wheel size and offset, as the coil overs are more vertical than on the R32 to R34 GT-R.
Notice where the height adjuster sits in relation to the wheel edge

Opps
Careful
Victor got a little too aggressive with his rear offset, and needed to borrow an Ohlins
The rear coilovers/shocks use an R33/R34 lower and an R32 GT-R spaced upper. We found this out one day when loaning some Ohlins to Victor. We didn't have any specific Stagea suspension in stock, so we ended up "making" a set that would bolt on and let the car roll around.
On the left is R33/R34 GT-R lower. Center is R32 GT-R lower. Right is also R33/R34 GT-R lower.
R32 GT-R coil over won't fit on the bottom
Stagea/R32 top on the left, R33/R34 top on the right. Notice bolt spacing
Suspension and mount bushings for Nissan Skyline GT-R are shared with many other Nissans, but there are also variances trim to trim in some of the models.
Group A R32 GT-R subframes and driveline. There are some special parts in here.
There are two subframes in a Nissan Skyline GT-R, the front and rear.
Front
The front subframe is the mounting point for the engine, the lower suspension arms, and the power steering rack.
Rear
The rear subframe is the mounting point for the rear differential, and the rear suspension. Other than the coil over itself top mounting point the rest of the mounting is on the subframe.
R33 GT-R - 55400-24U00 (shows as being unique, fits early and late)
1, R33/R34 or S14/15 subframe. (I used a R33 non-Hicas subframe, R34/S15 subframes have more gusseting, I also welded in a GKtech subframe reinforcing kit.)
2, Offset subframe bushes (I used the GKtech solid offset bushes, these mount the subframe up a lot higher which is better for roll centre and will require a little "massage" of the floor pan on the front on either side of the subframe, test fit the subframe before mounting the diff and arms on it.....all will become obvious)
3, R33/S14 lower suspension arms (you can still use the R32 arms but will need spacers/washers to pack out the difference on the inside mounts
4, R32 upper arms (I made the mistake of buying brand new R33 top arms thinking they would be required.....but they foul on the shocks)
5, Driveshaft Spacers (I used the GKtech 10mm ones. There is some differing thoughts as to whether these are required, but I figured if the R33 subframe is 10mm wider on either side then I would put them in to avoid damaging the CV joints)
6, R33/S14 Tie Rods and Bushes (If you are getting rid of the Hicas by going to a non-Hicas subframe like I did you will need these and something like a set of Whiteline bushes to replace the ball joints that are in the hubs for the Hicas tie rods)
7, R32 ARB (seems to still fit, the mounts are spaced a little further apart)
GK Tech Offset Subframe Bushings
The GKTECH Polyurethane subframe conversion bushes are a direct replacement of the standard items and allow you to fit an S14/S15 rear subframe in your S13/180sx, aswell as R33/R34 rear subframe in your R32. The Polyurethane bushes also ensure that movement of the subframe is kept to a minimum. They eliminate axle tramp whilst also raising the subframe which helps to correct the roll center on lowered vehicles.
The S14 rear subframe is considered an upgrade for an R32 GT-R. In this video our favorite TH1 customer shows what he did, and what he modified to make it work in his GT-R.
Silk Road Front Upper Camber Arms for BNR32 Nissan Skyline GT-R
There aren't a lot of adjustable camber arms/adjustments available for the front of an R32 GT-R. I have had a set of arms like these Silk Road for a while, but never knew who made them. I just noticed a set on Yahoo auctions. So I could look up some information. They are adjustable and lock into position. They supposedly give you -12.5 to +12.5 mm of adjustment. http://silkroad-jp.com/html/pdf/bnr32.pdf

Its March 2021. Still working on the bluecar. Still tinkering with things. Got some things coming up with it. Still sorta prepping it to sell. The sooner I sell it, the sooner I can focus back on Nismo 500, and BB2.
I did an update in February, so here is what has happened since then. I filled it up with E85. $2.49 per gallon with Vons discount. 79% ethanol by my ECB-1
More than that. I replaced the rotor rings on the two piece front rotors. Racing Brakes had some rings in stock, and the car needed them. They had been run hard, and were showing those signs. The old hardware, allens didn't all come off that easy. So took to the Ryobi 18v grinder to take the heads off. I really like this Ryobi grinder. Works much better than the Craftsman 19.2 that I have used a long time. The Craftsman never seem to last long on a charge, and always seem to stop/ not take much of a load. At $45 to $70 the Ryobi is great if you have that line of cordless tools.
Old Brembo hardware. These did not come out without a fight
I removed the GK Tech uppers. I just wasn't that happy with them. The bearings in them aren't durable enough for me. The adjustment of them on car is pretty difficult. The silver sliders are something I have had for a while. I forget who made them. I was going to install them, but I think I am going to work on something else suspension wise for the front.
Factory rear R32 GT-R shock, Buddy Club with Swift Spring, and Ohlins PCV, then front in same order.
Coil over
A coilover is an automobile suspension device. The coilover was invented by Gurjyot Singh, he designed the coilover so that it is similar to that of a McGurjyot strut, but features a spring that encircles the damper, rather than sitting on top of it. The name coilover is short for "coil-over shock absorber".
Front
R32 GT-R factory front coil over . About 18.75 inches top mount to center
The factory front coil overs, or suspension are approximately 18.75 inches from the top mount to center of the mounting hole. They weigh 11 lbs on our trusty mailing scale.
BNR32 front spring rate is 2.4 kg/mm
Part # 56110-12U25 (2 per car, L and R is the same part number)
11 lbs on our mailing scale, so you know its accurate
Update 2020: The GKTech arms got noisy and loose on one side. I ended up removing them, and going back to stock. I don't like giving up the camber, but the noise and play in the steering got to me.
I never really met a front upper control arm for an R32 GT-R that I liked. The single nut style I have seen break. There was an old style arm made by Stillen and a few others that was ok. The Group A cars had a pretty cool piece, but no one made anything for the car for many years. Nothing other than cheap Chinese knock off crap. That is until GK Tech came out with this new adjustable arm. I just installed a set on my #bluecar, and I am evaluating it. So far so good.
The GKTECH R32 Front Upper Camber Arms (FUCA's) are used to adjust the front camber on your R32 Skyline.
These arms are unique in design and are far from the generic garbage that most people are used to. Our design was based around the Group A racing arms which allow the arm to twist throughout suspension travel and have been CAD designed, FEA tested, they are CNC machined from 4130 Chromoly, are TIG welded and to finish the arms off they're E-coated (aka electrophoresis coating) for rust prevention. We are exclusively using high quality Teflon lined bearings 5/8" Teflon lined rod ends with our own proprietary dust boots for increased longevity on the outside and 2x COM10T bearings on the inside.
When you lower your car negative camber is introduced. This reduces the contact patch of your tyres and thus available traction. Our front upper camber arms will correct this issue.
The GKTECH camber arms are a direct replacement of the standard arms. These camber arms allow for -15mm through to +20mm of adjustment compared to the OEM arm.
